We know that all sportspeople – from professional athletes to social participants – want fast and full recovery from injury, pain or mobility issues and it’s our job to make a proper diagnosis and recommend the most effective treatment plan.
At your first consult with our highly experienced physio in Perth, you can expect an in-depth chat about your symptoms and the likely cause of the sporting injury, followed by a physical examination. Once a diagnosis has been made, your physio will discuss a personalised treatment plan which, once agreed by you, will start immediately.
More often than not, successful recovery and rehabilitation requires the patient to do exercises at home. Your physio will likely suggest tools (such as using an exercise band) and DIY exercises – and they may also suggest further action (such as dry needling and radiology) to promote recovery. We offer a number of allied health services at our Perth physio practice, plus we work closely with a number of external health professionals and will always refer you to a trusted specialist.
A doctor’s referral is not needed for your first consult unless you are making a Medicare, DVA, MVA or Workcover claim. If you have private health insurance, please bring your card with you.
We look forward to welcoming you at our physiotherapy practice and getting you up and running again!
