Cameron Heise

Principal Physiotherapist, Director Trained Physio and Fitness

BSc Exercise Sport Science Major in Human Performance
BSc Physiotherapist

Cameron is a lifelong sportsman, who started his football career at the tender age of 7. This early introduction to footy forged a deep love of Australian Rules which followed Cameron into Adulthood. At the age of 15, Cameron was recruited to join Subiaco Lions (WAFL) football club, becoming one of the youngest players which saw him progress into the league squad and representing WA in Australian Rules until the age of 21 where he joined the Perth Demons as a League WAFL Player. Cameron also participated in Surf life saving and athletics during his offseason from football.

In 2005 Cameron won a Scholarship to train at the Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) in Canberra for 12 months, this same year he was selected for the WA draft camps. It was in this year Cameron first encountered Physiotherapists, fuelling his career path into exercise rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and Physiotherapy. He recognised the importance of working with adolescent athletes to prevent injury and improve performance on and off the field.

Cameron completed a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Science) at Edith Cowan University. This was followed by a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) from Curtin University to extend his knowledge and practice.

In 2014 Cameron turned to the competitive sport of bodybuilding, even competing in the very first Arnold Classic Australia in the U100kg category.  Cameron and his team of Physio’s treat athletes from a wide range of sport, from National level gymnasts to state, national and world class Power lifters. Trained Physio & Fitness is now proudly the official Physio for Perth’s strongest gym – Muscle Pit.

In 2015, Cameron and his wife Linda established BodyBuilt Physiotherapy to combine Cameron’s skills in Physiotherapy, Sports Science and Rehabilitation training to help patients relieve injury and improve their overall health.

In late 2017, BodyBuilt became Trained Physio & Fitness, a new venture combining expert Physio care and in house rehabilitation within a purpose-built 24 hour gymnasium. The new venture allows Cameron and his team to extend a new level of quality service and care to patients.

BSc Physiotherapist

Alex is an avid sportsman with a passion in a diversity of different sports including hockey, football gymnastics and swimming. After tearing his ACL Alex took the time to seek professional treatment and understands first hand how frustrating an injury setback can be. During his rehabilitation phase Alex began to understand the importance of Physiotherapy, which later fuelled his desire to study Physio and help promote and encourage movement after injury.

Alex spent time with both amateur and WAFL level football teams to expand his knowledge in sports rehabilitation and injury management. Alex believes in the Trained Physio & Fitness holistic approach of combining hands on treatment with gym-based rehabilitation which provides his clients with not only high-level Physio care in a facility designed to restore function and provide ongoing strength & conditioning training with a qualified physiotherapist.
